Between the last poster…
. . . for the FOO FIGHTERS, which came out to the gig poster world in the middle of the “Finding the new printshop” Stress, and the gig poster that was the last to be created here, in the 6-month interim workshop, almost exactly one year has passed. And again the Foos are touring Europe for a few concerts, although the 2019 tour is much smaller than the 2018 tour. All the more proud makes me the fact that I was again allowed to design and screen print one of the coveted posters for the band around Dave Grohl.
With my poster, designed for the show in Horsens, Denmark, I subtly processed what was special about the location: it used to be a prison. With this knowledge and some imagination, the motif can be developed. Some of the posters are here as usual. . .
As I announced in early summer 2018, when writing the news about the Foo Fighters posters for the Hamburg concert, there are now big changes in the Douze printshop. For now it seems to be only a new move – but this move will revive many old but also new ideas and make them possible for the first time. More details then in late summer here or in the Douze newsletter.
Speaking of newsletters: if you would like to receive my newsletter with information about new posters, artprints or courses, you have to send me an eMail to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the clearly formulated wish for registration. We had to put the old link to the quick entry in the recipient list to sleep for the time being due to the difficult to implement requirements of the new data protection regulation. . .
